Adrian Prisecaru was born in 1945 in Bucharest, Romania and has lived in New York City since 1980. He has exhibited widely since the early 1970s, and his work may be found in private collections in Europe and Western Europe as well as Mexico and the United States.
Prisecaru works primarily in oils. His vibrant colors and copious use of paint create a brilliance that has led critics to refer to him as a consummate colorist. Adrian’s compositions move fluently between the abstract and the representational.
In 2005, Adrian was the very first recipient of Artexpo’s SOLO award for independent artists, and he’s been exhibiting at Artexpo ever since.
